BBC Click presenters wow audiences with scientific visions of the future through virtual reality

PPM returns to direct the fourth BBC Click Live event, our most ambitious and exciting of the series. Filmed live in the Radio Theatre at BBC Broadcasting House, Spencer Kelly and Kate Russell from BBC Click presented to an audience of more than 300 Click fans.

The show

Introducing scientists from Nasa, researchers from Imperial College London and an interview with artificial intelligence expert Babak Hodjat, the show conducts sound experiments with the audience, explores robotic technology and discusses the future of artificial intelligence. To finish, audiences are led to play an interactive game of Pong using their mobile phones.

What we did

Behind the scenes, PPM worked tirelessly to coordinate the content of the event, working closely with experts and producers of the BBC. Producing a live event has its challenges so planning was key to making sure the show ran without a glitch. The show used props, slideshows and state-of-the-art technology, seamlessly moving between sets while presenting to a live audience.

BBC Click is broadcast on BBC World News and the BBC News Channel in December 2016.
