BBC Click Live at COP26
Can Technology Save The World?

My Role
I directed this special edition of BBC Click at the COP26 Climate Summit in Glasgow, Scotland.
I was leading a team of over eighty people to achieve this highly-ambitious show full of live technology demonstrations, a studio audience and a live dairy cow!
Although directing during the studio days is important, my role on the production goes much deeper.
Working together with producer Nick Kwek, I oversaw all technical aspects of the production including set design, lighting, sound, finance and production management.
As with all my work, I collaborated closely with the senior BBC Click editorial team to make sure that we got the maximum on-screen impact from our budget and studio time.

About The Show
Presenters Spencer Kelly and Lara Lewington check out the latest innovations focused on the climate crisis, showcasing solutions that you can embrace, including some serious food for thought. Featuring live demos, a studio audience and Magenta the cow!

COP26 Glasgow
This edition was broadcast during the COP26 season of programmes to more than 350 million viewers on BBC World News and the BBC News Channel in the UK.
I am extremely proud of my work with BBC Click - not least because it combines my love of live performance with technology.
Many of our demonstrations are at the cutting edge and I especially like the challenge of brining complex science to a wide audience - both in the studio and on television.

Behind The Scenes
Balancing the needs of a huge team of producers, technicians and contributors is never straightforward, but I love feeding off the teamwork and dedication that only a show of this ambition can produce.
