High Life
BBC Culture explores the hidden lives of tall buildings

About
I directed this series of films about tall buildings for BBC Culture.
It was shot in Frankfurt, London and Chicago.
A highlight for me was meeting acclaimed architect Chris Wilkinson at the offices of his London firm. He took us through the process of designing a new addition to the city’s skyline.
During the shoot he sketched the outline of a new building which has since been built as 8 Bishopsgate. Chris was kind enough to sign the sketch for me and it hangs proudly in my office.

Chicago
In Chicago we shot at TILT, "Chicago's highest thrill ride" - a glass platform at the top of the John Hancock building which leans out to suspend you 94 floors above the street below - it really is one of a kind!
