About the programme
The BBC World Service and the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 bring three of the world's greatest space flight engineers to London to discuss space travel with a large public audience at Imperial College.
Presenter Kevin Fong meets Adam Steltzner, Nasa's chief engineer for the 2020 Mission to Mars, Anuradha TK, Geosat programme director for the Indian Space Research Organisation and David Parker, director of Human and Robotic Exploration at the European Space Agency.
How PPM helped bring The Engineers to life
PPM was delighted once again to be asked to light, shoot and direct this edition of The Engineers for BBC World Service.
We provided camera equipment and operators to direct a live vision mix of the recording which was fed to large audience screens in the hall. The finished video was also used by the BBC to promote the programme ahead of broadcast.
This was our second live-event collaboration with The Engineers - see also our successful Robots At The Science Museum.
